برد توسعه PAM8403 یک آمپلی‌فایر کلاس D استریو با توان 2x3W است که می‌توان خروجی آن را مستقیماً به دو بلندگوی 8 اهمی یا حتی بلندگوهای با امپدانس حداقل 4 اهم متصل کرد. این ماژول با تغذیه 5 ولت کار می‌کند و بنابراین به‌سادگی می‌توان آن را از طریق پورت USB راه‌اندازی کرد. روی برد این ماژول یک ولوم تعبیه شده تا امکان تنظیم حجم صدا بدون نیاز به مدار جانبی فراهم شود. ابعاد کوچک 20×29 میلی‌متر، کیفیت صوتی شفاف و بازدهی بالای این آمپلی‌فایر باعث شده انتخابی ایده‌آل برای پروژه‌های ساخت اسپیکر USB، ارتقای صدای لپ‌تاپ، ساخت سیستم‌های سخنگو، عروسک و اسباب بازی ها ، دستگاه‌های قابل‌حمل و تجهیزات صوتی DIY باشد.

PAM8403 Dual Channel Stereo Digital Audio Amplifier Module is a 3W per channel, dual channel stereo, Class D digital amplifier, which is based on the PAM8403 integrated chip. It can reproduce high quality amplified sound, because  it has low THD+N and  Also low harmonic distortion. Modern audio amplifier has filterless architecture, so it’s no need any low pass filter and  the speakers directly connect to the amplifier output, which result in low cost and size. It has a protection circuit which automatically cuts off the power when occurring a fault as over-temperature or short-circuit.
The module can be supplied by a power source with voltage from 2.5 V to 5.5 V DC, which make it suitable for Arduino sound projects, especially for MP3 and MP4 player projects. It is an ultra low cost but powerful and high-definition amplifier.
