KY-013 NTC Thermistor Analog Temperature Sensor module has an NTC Thermistor and mounted on a breakout board with a 10K-ohm resistor. An NTC Thermistor is a Negative Temperature Coefficient resistor. This means that the resistance is inversely proportional to temperature. The resistance increases when temperature decreases and vice-versa.
Thermistors are temperature-sensing elements made of semiconductor material that has been sintered in order to display large changes in resistance in proportion to small changes in temperature.
KY-013 NTC Thermistor Analog Temperature Sensor measures ambient temperature based on resistance of the thermistor. The KY-013 NTC Thermistor Analog Temperature Sensor consist of a NTC thermistor and a 10 kΩ resistor. The resistance of the thermistor varies with surrounding temperature.
